Rapunzel is an Everafter famous for her fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm.

In the series, Rapunzel makes a brief appearance in book 5 and an even shorter one in book 7. Rapunzel, as a previous wife of William Charming, admitted to being jealous of his perpetual longing for Snow White. In "Magic and Other Misdemeanors", however, she suggests having all of Charming's past lovers to become friends and meet together regularly as the Poker Princesses.

Rapunzel can be assumed a protagonist because she soothed Snow White's grief during the disappearance of Charming. Also, in the book seven she is briefly mentioned to be a refugee in Fort Charming, an army against the Scarlet Hand.

In the books, Rapunzel is a pretty woman with very long red hair, contradicting with the fact that in the Grimm fairy tales, she is described as having blonde hair.

Rapunzel is the common name for "Rampion," a plant similar to that of spinach or lettuce. Rampion is the generic name for the Phyteuma family which are usually edible plants with flower buds located throughout Europe and western Asia. The plants' flowers are sometimes purple, blue, white, and yellow. The roots are edible as well. The round-head Rampion is highly common in Germany.

Associated with the fairy-tale as some accounts state that Rapunzel's father stole the plant of the same name from the witch and so was born the name Rapunzel.
