The Scarlet Hand is an Everafter organization whose goal is to take down the magical barrier surrounding Ferryport Landing and, ultimately, take over the world, enslaving non-Everafters (regular humans).

As the name suggests, the symbol used by the group is a blood-red handprint. The members of the group generally wear the symbol on their chests. This symbol is also left at the scenes of the murders and other doings of the group. Several members of the group have been known to cover entire rooms with red handprints.

The members are the main antagonists of the series, and are made up of Everafters who are staunchly set against the Grimms.

The leader of the group, known as the Master, started the group in order to gain freedom from his personal prison.
